NEBOSH National General Certificate (NG1)

The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH) is the leading UK examination authority in this field.

What you will learn:

• Identifying and assessing typical hazards in the workplace
• Recommending remedial action to control workplace hazards
• Investigating accidents and recommending preventative measures
• Interpreting a range of important health and safety legislation
• Explaining human and organisational influences on health and safety
• Describing potential ill-health effects arising from work environments
• Devising control strategies for substances hazardous to health

Assessment: To achieve the National General Certificate, you will complete two 2-hour exams and a practical assessment:

• NGC1: Management of health and safety
• GC2: Controlling workplace hazards
• GC3: Health and safety practical application
