NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety
Duration: 11 days which includes the 9 days of the certificate plus two additional days

The NEBOSH Construction Certificate is recognised as the premium health and safety qualification for the construction industry.
The Certificate is designed for people who are involved within the construction industry and need to provide advice on health, safety & welfare on a day to day basis. It provides delegates with a good foundation in safety management issues to ensure the health and safety implications of their decisions are properly taken into account.
If you have passed NGC1, on your way to a NEBOSH qualification you can miss the first week of this course and complete the NEBOSH Construction Certificate in a shorter timeframe.
- Understand the main requirements and application of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015.
- Understand the factors to consider when carrying out a site assessment; identify construction activity hazards, assess the risks and recommend control measures.
- Identify the hazards & and outline appropriate control measures in the following areas: movement of people & vehicles, manual & mechanical handling, work equipment, electrical, chemical & biological, physical & psychological, working at height, excavation work & confined spaces & demolition.
- Successfully carry out a safety inspection of a construction workplace identifying hazards, recommending control measures and preparing a management report.
To achieve the National Construction Certificate, you will complete two 2-hour exams and a practical assessment:
- NGC1: Management of health and safety
- NCC1: Managing and controlling hazards in construction activities
- NCC2: Construction health and safety practical application
- Excellent pass rates above the national average
