NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking NEBOSH qualifications should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

However, we acknowledge that work and personal commitments may affect your schedule, and we are happy to provide supplementary study materials and recorded sessions to assist you.

What is the NEBOSH General Certificate?

The NEBOSH General Certificate is a level 3 qualification that lays a solid groundwork in health and safety for managers, supervisors, and those embarking on a career in the field. It is the most widely recognised and sought-after health and safety qualification, enabling holders to identify, assess, and manage a broad spectrum of workplace hazards.

How hard is the ‘NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety’ and how long does the course take?

The NEBOSH Diploma is a qualification at degree level, which means that learners need to study at a high standard for a long time. This is to ensure that learners comprehend the concepts and can apply them in a real-life work situation. Previous experience in health and safety is strongly recommended, and those who apply without sufficient background in the field may not be accepted.

After failing my first attempt at the NEBOSH General Certificate, I booked my next attempt with Capital.

I learnt more in one day at Capital than I did in the whole course with my previous provider.
The trainer was clear, precise and personable and all communication was spot on.

Highly recommended and hope to be getting on further courses with you in the future.

Mark Littlejohns at Capital People has been fantastic in delivering a successful NEBOSH Construction Certificate for a number of staff on our premises, going out of his way to accommodate delivery dates and structure to suit our needs. We approached Capital People for this course after a fantastic experience of a previous NEBOSH Diploma course, and yet again, their service and delivery was exceptional. I will certainly be looking to Capital People for future training.
