Working with Communities

As we all pledge to “build back better”, community sustainability is at the front of many organisations’ agenda.

But fewer resources and increased pressure on services means that it’s become crucial that we target all our activity towards what matter most. To do this, we need to refine our approach to engaging our communities in more effective ways, to better understand and fulfil their needs.

This programme covers a suite of approaches to engagement – from consultation to co-production, including community and stakeholder mapping and principles of partnership.  It also covers the practicalities of working with communities, including community leadership, resolving conflict and building consensus around the future.
